We - you and us - need to thrash out what you want to achieve from a website (AKA initial consultation), identify your target audience and what you want them to do on your web site.

  • the technical development of the site - database driven or static pages.
  • the visual design of the site - logos placement, colour scheme, graphics.
  • site updating - the requirement for a content management system.
  • site hosting, database and email requirements.

The next meeting

At this stage we will have a basic site plan and database structure if applicable, as well as some prototype visual designs. The domain name will have been secured.

The outcome of this meeting will include:

  • selection of visual design (with any agreed ammendments)
  • confirmation of site/database structure (ditto - as above))
  • timescale for delivery of client graphics and written content from you
  • timescale for testing and deployment of completed website

Your web site goes live. What next?

As part of the development process your web site will be submitted to the major search engines to encourage traffic.

We will need to further consider methods to drive traffic from your identified target audience to your web site. This can be achieved through a mixture of targeted internet marketing and traditional printed media. For further information go to our Marketing section.
