Software bugging you?
Need to learn how do something in a hurry? Don't fret, get in touch.
With personal computers coming stacked with all sorts of software applications but with very little built in learning support, most owners only ever utilise a mere fraction of the creative power of the software that they do use.
Scratch a little deeper into the programs and you'll discover that your software is capable of creating some really terrific stuff. Not sure what to do? We can offer a range of options from formal but relaxed tuiton, through to simply being on hand to help walk you through the options in order to achieve your aims.
As qualified teachers we recognise that each learner prefers their own learning style, we can adapt to whatever suits you best. But, just so you know, we do give out homework, and detentions are not unknown!
With several years experience encouraging, teaching and assessing students in secondary school and FE colleges to get the most out of their software (and hardware) - from the very basics of word processing, through to automated spreadsheets, dynamic databases, whole websites and multimedia DVD authoring - mb studio have the know how to help you.
Word processing and spreadsheets
Get to grips with more than the basics of both these very popular applications.
Utilise them to create your own automated accounts and invoice system that can record your income, expenditure and taxes, electronically file a monthly account summary, send a copy to your accountant, print out customer orders and email invoices to your clients...all at the press of a button!
Or, if your not quite ready for building you own system, how about making the best use of some of the great ready made template applications that are available for use.
We can offer tailored tuition at a level to suit you.
Presentations and slideshows
Great tools for showing off your photo, artwork or pottery collection - or even a visual diary of your house being built; complete with text captions or audio narrative. This style of presentation is referred to as linear, with the slides and narrative running in linear sequence.
Learn how to optimise your presentation to send as an email attachment, or how to put your presentation onto a DVD that automatically plays when inserted into a suitable player.
Alternatively, you can create non-linear presentations, perhaps as part of a quiz, a 'whodunnit' or a 'treasure hunt'.
